An introduction...

Dentistry

Preeyan treats both new and existing patients in his position as a dentist along side taking referrals from other dentists as a Specialist Prosthodontist for patients who require more complex dental care.

Preeyan is currently part of the dental care teams at both Audley Dental Solutions and Moreton Road Dental Practice along side his role as a Clinical Lecturer in Prosthodontics at UCL.

Audley Dental Solutions is a Referral Practice with an in-house prosthodontist, endodontist, periodontist and implant dentists. Moreton Road Dental Practice is both a referral practice with an in-house prosthodontist and endodontist as well as being a general practice for routine care.

Education & Accolades

Preeyan graduated in 2010 from the University of Birmingham. He has always been keen to keep up to date with best evidence-based clinical practice. In 2013 Preeyan took the opportunity of completing the Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice (UCL). In February 2014 he successfully was accepted to join the Membership of Faculty of Dental Surgeons (MFDS) with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.

In September 2017 he successfully completed a Masters in Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics (MClinDent) with Distinction at the prestigious Eastman Dental Institute (UCL). He was awarded the UCHOSA Prosthodontic Prize for his outstanding contribution during this course.

In November 2017 Preeyan was awarded the Gary Pollock Clinical Prize at the British Society of Restorative Dentistry (BSRD) Autumn Meeting.

In October 2018 Preeyan was awarded Membership in Prosthodontics (MPros) with the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh. Following this Preeyan was included on the Specialist Register in Prosthodontics in January 2019 with the General Dental Council.

Training and Development

Preeyan thoroughly enjoys the opportunity to learn and provide opportunities for others to learn.

Preeyan is a Clinical Lecturer in Prosthodontics at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute training postgraduate dental students. His role involves clincal supervision, lecturing and research.

Preeyan is also a visiting lecturer for the North Central London DFT Scheme (London Deanery - Health Education England) providing interesting and thought provoking lectures to those new in the profession.

Charity Work

Preeyan has been involved with a number of charities over the years but has remained closest to Shishukunj where he was a headteacher for a Sunday school of 200+ pupils, of varying ages and backgrounds, for 3 years. Shishukunj is a domestic charity and leads a number of international projects.

Preeyan has also been involved with a number of other charities and events raising money for those less fortunate.
